ABOUT ME
How much blood does it take to tell the truth?
As children, we do things we believe to be strange, only to discover, as we grow older, that they are in fact entirely common.
Such as giving ourselves a new name, as if it were a new destiny.
On the back cover of a tear-jerking book — perhaps never read all the way through — among the letters of Francis Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, that name appeared to me: Sayre.
Sayre is me: an artist, a creator, and a researcher.
My language has no single code or expressive channel; it moves through forms and manifests wherever Art, in its emergence, wishes to become the voice of the world.
The dimension I feel as most natural is sacred and ritual performance, where experience vibrates through body, mind, spirit, and soul as a single creative breath, capable of sustaining the collective as much as the personal.
Alongside Performance, my work also unfolds through video art, prose and poetry, theatrical and cinematic directing and acting, and visual and material arts.
I am a direct student of Antonio Bilo Canella and a bearer of the artistic practice of Oracular Poetry.
How much blood does it take to tell the truth? - This is what Sayre means.
How much of it pulses, every day, through art, through the sacred, and through heresy.
MY ART & MY VISION
For me, every artistic creation is always a Sacred Act, where energy merges with matter and reveals itself.
Through Art, my impulse is to manifest messages that are both personal and universal: what rises as authentically necessary becomes, through will, gesture, form, and voice.
Like a body sweating in the heat, what is alive and true in me seeks expression — intoxicating those who choose to share it.
My research moves through shamanic, esoteric, and alchemical practices, and is nourished by spirituality, psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, and non-ordinary states of consciousness.
Ancient wisdom and contemporary visions flow through me and merge into the Work.
I believe that every being, event, or element of existence is a possibility for transformation — a passage that calls us to evolve in presence.
From the invisible to the visible, from the feminine to the masculine, from the domains of Dionysus to those of Apollo: everything unfolds in the movement between polarities, along the wet path and the dry path, through the crossing of opposites.
As long as I can remember, my life has moved in the direction of Art — but Art is not a choice; it is an essence.
Being an Artist is a calling and a service to the world: Art–Artist simply is.
The current society of performance pushes us to be ever faster and more efficient — but Art asks us to create, generate, and realize with presence, and to do so heretically: to allow ourselves to be acted upon in choice and responsibility, to dance between light and dark energies, to liberate and to transmute. To nourish without passing through the mind.
The Artist is Human. The Artist is Shaman:
becoming center, chalice, and sword between vertical and horizontal, between divine and human, between universal and initiatory.
I ask to become a hollow body, a channel and a vessel, to channel messages from the Beyond and render them alive through the artistic-ritual act, in matter and flesh;
honoring the fundamental themes and first principles of all reality.
“Siamo scultori di carne che ribaltano l’indicibile.”
